MC-Racing Cup fuel pressure regulator: more performance, better filling and no more jerking.

Most MG-F are already slightly tuned; often times the air filter, racing exhaust pipe

and racing catalytic converters are used to improve performance - unfortunately,

the aspect of fuel mixing is neglected.

Fact is, any slight changes to the standard engine can result in significant changes in fuel

mixing. Often the electronics try to correct for it using lambda measurements,

which means that the control continuously tries to ride on very little.

We can increase performance by increasing fuel pressure (controlled “Power Boost”).

This is how the MC control works:

When accelerating to full speed from mid range, let’s say at a 30%-50% open throttle valve,

the vacuum in the Air Ram (intake pipe) collapses and the gas is mixed too lean.

This occurs even more when the engine has been throttled (i.e. Air Box, racing catalytic converter,

Cup Throttle valve etc.).

When accelerating, the machine jerks and during the transition from simple acceleration to

full speed, a power gap is created.

To prevent this, your car needs a fuel pressure regulator that can work with a higher input

pressure and a so called ‘acceleration pressure.

The MC Power Boost regulator meets this need.

By using vacuum the regulator adds more fuel and thus greases up the mixture. The transitions

become smoother and performance increases.

Especially engines with altered heads or altered cam shafts benefit from the MC Power Boost

regulator. Performance can increase to up to 8%.- 1.7 times faster than standard fuel pressure

regulators- up to 1.8 bar more pressure than normal- more performance, greasier gas mixture Attention: Installation to be performed by a certified technician.
